Welcome to a sanctuary of healing and resilience. I’m Jacky, a dedicated trauma-informed psychotherapist with 25 years of immersive experience in mental health care, spanning diverse landscapes within private and NHS sectors.

I am one of the UK’s few practitioners who hold a Degree in Hypnotherapy and Diplomas in EMDR Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Hypnotherapy. I am a member of the Royal Society of Medicine and a specialist therapist for Anxiety UK.

Specialising in tailored support and therapy for individuals navigating the aftermath of traumatic events, I foster a nurturing space where emotions can be explored, experiences processed, and coping mechanisms cultivated to navigate the complexities of trauma.

Through Eye Movement Desensitisation Therapy (EMDR), a non-verbal therapeutic approach, I empower clients to rewrite their trauma narratives, fostering resilience and restoring a sense of empowerment.

What is EMDR Therapy

EMDR therapy combined with elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Hypnotherapy is an effective long-lasting therapy and treatment for trauma and phobias.

During EMDR therapy, patients recall a traumatic event while making specific eye movements, usually following the therapist’s finger. The goal is to reprogram the memory with a new, positive belief. EMDR may also involve other methods, such as finger tapping or sounds.

EMDR has eight phases that include, history taking, preparation, assessment, desensitisation, installation, body scan, closure and re-evaluation.

I help survivors move beyond their traumatic experiences into recovery, heal emotional wounds, break patterns of behaviour, regaining a sense of empowerment and well-being in person at my practice or online.
